just when you thought you've seen/heard it all
It's not unusual for wildlife to wander onto airport runways, but a large seal actually caused an airport in rural Alaska to shut down operations when he decided to take a break there this week. The 450-pound seal could be seen stretched on the runway of Wiley Post-Will Rogers Memorial Airport. Animal control came out and eventually moved the mammal using a heavy-duty snow blower and a sled.
