Alaska Airlines will be the first U.S. Airline to replace paper manuals with iPads.

Heard from PNF, "Hang on Captain, I'll have that emergency checklist as soon as my computer finishes rebooting....  Opps. I seem to have forgotten my password.."

Great idea for non-critical data.  Not so much for emergency checklists and procedures.  I would think common sense would prevail there and a paper copy would still be available.
