would love to see the filed flight plan.

A daring pilot could be in hot water after flying a small single-engine plane underneath a bridge on the Delaware River. The aircraft was photographed just a few feet above the water as it buzzed underneath the deck of the Riegelsville free bridge. The bridge is about 38 feet above the water, leaving the pilot very little room for error as he attempted the dangerous stunt.

Officials with the Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission are looking into the incident and are working with the Federal Aviation Administration and the Pennsylvania and New Jersey State Police to track down the pilot.

"That's a rather dangerous stunt, and we're taking it very seriously," commission spokesman Joe Donnelly said.

FAA administrator Lee Abt told the Bucks County Courier Times that the maneuver is likely illegal and that his office is looking into it.

"It does not meet any kind of regulation that we would ever support," Abt said.

Residents were not thrilled to learn of the stunt, which could have damaged the historic bridge and injured pedestrians who enjoy strolling across the 170-foot long bridge that connects Pennsylvania to New Jersey.

"Also could potentially damage an historic bridge that underwent expensive restorations not that long ago," Susan Milmore wrote on Facebook. "SO irresponsible."
