Title: UAL2745 Declares Emergency and Returns to Dublin
Post by: RonR on April 01, 2019, 03:23:24 PM

United Airlines flight 2745 departed Dublin, Ireland at about 14:14Z today and returned to Dublin about 30 minutes later.  The flight reached 28000 feet before declaring an emergency and turning around and landing safely.  Emergency equipment was waiting for the flight when it landed back in Dublin but the nature of the emergency is not known at the moment.  There is audio available from the Dublin tower and approach feeds but it does not reveal what the problem was.

The Boeing 757 had to return to the capital due to operational reasons.  (operational reasons, now there's a generic phrase that tells us nothing)

Hitting up Dublin twitter, the "operational issue" could be a guidance malfunction?  all the US bound traffic was already west bound, UAL2745 didn't follow the same pattern.
