OKALOOSA COUNTY, Fla. (CBS12) — Two men and a dog walked away from a plane crash in Florida without a scratch.

The crash happened near the Destin Executive Airport on Sunday morning.

The Okaloosa County Sheriff's Offiice said a father and son flew in from Kansas when their plane went down.

Investigators said the plane just missed a home before landing in a tree.

Jason Dougherty, 47, of Garden City, Kansas; and Caleb Dougherty, 22, of Salina, Kansas, survived, along with their labrador retriever

The pilot told investigators the plane started to have engine problems as it approached the airport.
