Title: Turkish Airlines Flight 1878 Crash in Istanbul WITH VIDEO
Post by: semperflyer797 on April 28, 2015, 12:51:28 AM
Apparently they tried to land and had a rolling moment to the right just before touch down, causing a hard touch down which resulted in the right hand engine contacting the ground.  They decided to go around and at some point received an unsafe gear indication.  On the second touch down the right main gear collapsed and the aircraft after slowing came to rest almost 180 degree askew of the runway center line.  No injuries reported, but I bet that's one flight they'll never forget.
