This was from the nasty weather yesterday in/around Chicago.
if you have some time on your hands, and want to peruse the archives of O'Hare/Midway
I bet you'll hear some interesting chatter..

Atornado spotted west of the Chicago area and thunderstorms scattered across parts of the nation caused delays of up to an hour Tuesday afternoon and evening at O'Hare International and Midway Airports.

The weather-related slowdown started at mid-afternoon and led to a halt on departures at both airports for about 30 minutes due to a tornado warning that forced a partial evacuation of the Chicago Center in Aurora, a Federal Aviation Administration facility that routes planes over the Midwest.

An FAA spokesman said non-essential personnel, including some air-traffic controllers, were sent to the basement of Chicago Center between 4:30 and 5 p.m. after a tornado was sighted at Hinckley, near DeKalb. The ground stop on airline departures from Chicago was lifted after the tornado warning for the Aurora area was downgraded to a tornado watch.
