The plane is operated by Ottawa Aviation Services (OAS). It crashed in the area of Bank Street and Ledbury (http://goo.gl/maps/6gT4R), which is in the vincity of the Ottawa Airport. There were no injuries.

Small plane crash in Ottawa
...the pilot missed houses and play structures and both he and the passenger walked away with no injuries.
Pilots refer to this as a "landing." :-)

More exactly, an "off-airport landing". The Transport Canada report says "No emergency locator transmitter (ELT) reported", which would indicate a low impact touchdown. The photo published in both press accounts does not show any significant damage
