Slidell firefighters respond to emergency landing of plane at airport

SLIDELL, La. —
The St. Tammany Fire Protection District No. 1 responded to the Slidell Municipal Airport Tuesday because of a plane making an emergency landing.

Fire officials say the personal plane made an emergency landing due to the landing nose gear being stuck.  According to the fire department's post on Facebook, fire officials praised the pilot's "outstanding job" landing the plane.

No one was injured.
