ORLANDO, Fla. (CBS12) — A plane destined for San Juan, Puerto Rico was diverted to Orlando International Airport after getting struck by lightning, the Federal Aviation Administration said.

Southwest Airlines Flight 2133, a Boeing 737, had taken off from Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport and landed safely in Orlando at 11:25 a.m., according to the FAA. The plane was hit by lightning shortly after takeoff.

"We have removed the aircraft from service for inspection and we will operate the remainder of the flight with another aircraft with a minimal delay," Southwest Airlines said in a statement. "There are no reports of injuries among the 168 Customers and six Crew members."

The FAA is investigating.
