VERO BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) —
The pilot of a small plane said he had just seconds to make a decision on where to crash land his plane after the engine lost power in mid-air.
"We were about 500 feet and the engine cut out and I was trying to get the engine back on and working. I only had a few seconds or 10 or 15 to find a suitable place to land. There's this road over here to our right and the railroad tracks but the traffic on the road was extremely busy so we decided to land on the railroad tracks," said the pilot, who missed a set of power lines.
