Hi everyone,
I'm new to ATC.net. My question is about the archives.
I am a private pilot who was in command of a 172 off the shore of Cleveland Ohio on 7-12-1997 when I lost all electrical, it was probably 8 or 8:30pm Eastern Time, I had recently left Sandusky/Griffing (SKY) en route to Erie, PA (KERI).
Long story short, I had a few transmissions of Radio with Cleveland (KCLE) via freq 121.5, on battery power before that too went dead and I ended up landing safely (somehow.. lol) in the dark at Cuyahoga county (CGF). I had to find and go there in the dark because Burke Lakefront was closed due to them holding Indy car races there, and they had cement barricades up all over the field.
My question is, I'd LOVE to find the ATC of my adventure, just to reminisce and hear it again, if it is even out there somewhere. Does this recording exist? Does this recording from way back in 1997 have a chance of being in the Live ATC Archives? I put in that date into the selector on the ATC archive section of the website, and no matter what I seem to do it comes up with nothing, so it either doesn't exist, or I am doing something wrong.
Any help or input anyone might be able to provide?
It is sincerely appreciated.
Thanks much!
Pat
