Carley McCord, the 30-year-old sports broadcaster married to the son of LSU offensive coordinator Steve Ensminger, died Saturday in a plane crash on her way to Atlanta for the Peach Bowl where the Tigers were to play Oklahoma in the College Football Playoff semifinals.
McCord was among five people killed in the crash, according to her husband, Steve Ensminger Jr., in an interview with The Associated Press.

LSU coach Ed Orgeron said in an interview on SEC Network that Ensminger would coach during Saturday's semifinal game against Oklahoma, "There's no question."

McCord worked as a freelance broadcaster, serving various television networks, including Cox Sports Television, ESPN3 and WDSU in New Orleans. She was born in Baton Rouge.
