Developing, multiple fatalities reported.

- Following the August 18, 2022, fatal mid-air collision between a Cessna 340A, N740WJ, and a Cessna 152, N49931, that occurred near the Watsonville Municipal Airport (WVI/KWVI) in Santa Cruz, California.
 Multiple fatalities are reported at this point. Two people and one dog inside the 340 were confirmed dead. Both aircraft were trying to land at the airport. One plane crashed into one of the airport’s buildings. The second plane crashed in a neighborhood next to the airport, at the intersection of Buena Vista Drive and Calabasas Road.
This post will be updated over time. Nothing else is known at this moment.
