Title: Lufthansa 747-8 Returns to Chicago due to Toilet Issues
Post by: RonR on April 25, 2022, 07:10:42 AM
On April 18, DLH431 departed Chicago and was enroute to Frankfurt, Germany at FL370 when the flight crew decided to return to Chicago about two hours into the flight.  The reason?  Toilet issues that continued to worsen as the flight progressed.  At one point only two toilets in the entire aircraft were functioning.  Passengers also reported other issues such as electrically operated seats that wouldn't return to their upright positions, issues with the entertainment systems, etc.  The aircraft was a 747-8 and was approximately seven years old.  The flight was over Quebec, Canada when it turned around and landed safely back in Chicago.
