DrSnuggles:
Hi All, a.m. flight of today 31st Oct 2023 is going straight North to reach LHR.  I thought, Sudan Airspace is closed for civilian air traffic ?

KB4TEZ:
Weather is the exception to that.
SW Sudan was having storms at that time.

Some detailed information on the airspace restrictions over Sudan and South Sudan:

RonR:
It's also very possible that the flight track showing the flight passing over South Sudan and Sudan was only an estimated flight track.  That's probably why the flight track is shown in white and not yellow.  The actual flight path more than likely was further to the south even though there might have been some weather along the route.  I hope this helps.

DrSnuggles:
Yes, it seems, the live track was sketchy all together. The playback does show the accurate route being a standard track leading around to the West. Thanks for your time to clarify.
