HNL runway closed after TransAir plane ‘landed gear up’

HONOLULU (KHON2) — Honolulu International Airport’s Runway 4R was suddenly closed Friday morning around 4:12 a.m. after a TransAir Short 360 prop plane experienced gear issues and was forced to make an emergency landing.

According to the Federal Aviation Administration, the “commuter plane landed gear up.”There were two people on board. No injuries were reported. the tower asked: "did the gear collapse or did you land gear up?"
