Harrison Ford incident.

http://www.nbcnews.com/nightly-news/harrison-ford-has-incident-passenger-plane-airport-n720826

"..mistakenly aimed for a taxiway instead. His plane passed over the top of an American Airlines 737 loaded with 110 passengers and a six-person crew. The passenger plane, AA flight 1546, managed to depart safely for Dallas just minutes after the incident.

Ford, 74, was captured on air traffic control recordings asking, "Was that airliner meant to be underneath me?"

Air traffic controllers then informed Ford that he had landed on a taxiway rather than the runway.

Landing on a taxiway is a violation of Federal Aviation Administration safety rules."

I'm curious. What specific area of the F.A.R. states that "Landing on a taxiway is a violation of Federal Aviation Administration safety rules."

I don't believe there is any regulation that specifically bars landing on a taxiway.  However, when you are cleared to land on runway XX, but instead you land on a taxiway, you have deviated from your clearance (violating 91.123), and one could argue you were careless and reckless (91.13) when there was already another aircraft on the taxiway, etc. etc.

I agree.
Unfortunately it appears that the files were not archived on here.

If we want to hear the audio, somebody will have to make a FOIA request to the FAA for the files.  And soon, because I believe the audio is not archived forever at the ATC facilities - for some reason, 30 days sticks in my mind, but I may be confusing that with the LiveATC archives. Somebody in the know should correct me...

The news reports have been saying that after landing, Mr Ford queried the tower about "that aircraft that was under me" and they told him he "had landed on a taxiway".  How does the media have this information if the audio is not publically available?  I have not heard any actual audio in the published reports, but they seem to be quoting things that were said on frequency, so how is that possible?

Couldn't find any KSNA audio either, but my brother texted me a TMZ link (ugh) of audio claimed to be of Ford a bit earlier, same aircraft, in a bit of a confused departure handoff from Santa Monica to LAX:
