Captain Dara Fitzpatrick was later rescued in the early morning yesterday, 3 other crew members are still missing.
Captain Fitzpatrick was well known to tv audiences from the TV series "Helicopter Search and Rescue 117"

Here is footage of an amazing rescue mission she and her crew flew to rescue a downed pilot who crashes into the irish sea some years ago

I wasn't aware of this thread when I posted my clip in the appropriate forum (Aviation Audio Clips) last night. For those of you who have already downloaded the audio file in this thread could I mention that my clip covers the whole of the mission, not just the ill-fated helicopter's departure from it's Dublin base.
