An American Airlines Boeing 777-200, registration N794AN performing flight AA-36 from Dallas Ft. Worth,TX (USA) to Madrid,SP (Spain), had climbed to FL330 and was enroute about 260nm southeast of Dallas when the crew decided to return to Dallas. The aircraft descended to FL300 for the return. The aircraft was awaited by emergency services when it landed in Ft. Worth's runway 36R about 2.5 hours after departure.

A passenger reported the captain announced about 1.5 hours after departure they needed to return to Dallas due to an issue. The aircraft dumped fuel for about 40 minutes and landed back in Dallas. After landing the captain announced they had received indication of some flat tyres, emergency services just confirmed they did indeed have some flat tyres. The aircraft was towed to the terminal where passengers disembarked normally. A replacement aircraft was boarded, however, the flight was then cancelled officially because of catering.
