Hi there,

I’m searching for any preserved ATC audio related to a Cessna 182F crash that occurred on August 6, 2015, around 10:10 PM PDT in Los Padres National Forest, California.

The aircraft reportedly issued a Mayday call referencing oil on the windscreen and smoke in the cockpit. It was being piloted by David Martz and had one passenger, Birger Greg Bacino (my father). The plane went down shortly after, and both occupants were killed.

I’ve submitted FOIA requests to the FAA and NTSB, but I wanted to ask here in case anyone had access to archived ATC audio or knows if this transmission was ever captured by LiveATC.

Any help or direction is deeply appreciated. Thank you.

Condolences on the loss of your Dad that day.  Unfortunately, LiveATC does not have archived audio dating back to 2015. There's also nothing in the forum's audio clips section either.
