« on: December 28, 2010, 04:37:22 PM »
Nov 30, 2010 - Air Canada Jazz Canadair CRJ-100 (AC-8955) from Fredericton,NB to Toronto,ON (Canada) with 49 people on board, had landed on Toronto's runway 15R and was instructed to taxi via M and T, hold short of runway 15L. The instruction was correctly acknowledged.

A Westjet Boeing 737-700 (WS-492) from Toronto,ON to Montreal,QC (Canada) with 86 people on board, was cleared for takeoff from runway 15L at that time.

The Canadian TSB reported, that a short time later the tower controller was notified by the south ground controller that AC-8955 had taxied past the hold short line of runway 15L on taxiway T. The tower instructed WS-492 to reject takeoff, the crew complied and rejected takeoff at high speed. After a safe stop the Westjet crew requested emergency services to attend the aircraft because of possible hot brakes.
