It was a stormy afternoon and besides a large number of deviations required by IFR aircraft in controlled airspace, the approach controller took time out to assist a pilot who had strayed into restricted airspace. The restricted area is around the Army Proof Firing Range north of Adelaide, designated R295A. The restriction is to prevent aircraft colliding with live firings.
Great professionalism and attitude by the controller, a safety first attitude.

nice catch mate.
Sticky position to be in, but good on the controller for helping the fella out and not sending him back into the clouds :-D

That controller (I believe his name is Chucky, or thats what they call him anyway) has always been a joy to listen to and to be controlled by, one of the most laid back guys around.

Can't miss his voice! He always seems calm and friendly when I listen.

An American controller in Australia?
