Related to N611VG...

I heard aircraft trying to reach N611VG on 121.5 at 1351 EDT (1751 Z).  According to the radar track (attached), at this time the aircraft was near Fredericksburg, VA still traveling north east.  I suspect this means the pilot was incapacitated by this time.

This was much earlier than I guessed when first looking at the radar track.  I originally figured the pilot was incapacitated around Long Island after making the 180 back toward the departure airport.  But after hearing these recordings, would gather that the pilot stop responding to ATC less than 40 minutes into the flight.

Timestamps in the filenames are EDT.  Receiver is located near LYH.

A few more recordings from 121.5 (and 243) today related to N611VG.  Timestamps in the filenames are EDT.  Receiver is near LYH.

Another interesting one on Guard.

A Cessna 177 Cardinal went down in Cecil County, MD this morning around 9am.  While I'm 200+ miles away, there was a lot of chatter on 121.5 including pilots who were relaying for the crashed plane.

N9895Q orbited the downed plane for about 40 minutes after it all happened.  Looks to be over a field.
https://www.flightradar24.com/data/aircraft/n9895q#37c6b48d

The plane that went down was not on ADSB.

This was also captured by the KMTN feed that monitors 121.5 (https://www.liveatc.net/search//?icao=kmtn).  The audio is weird and choppy... but I believe that the aircraft that went down was N34886.

You can hear (sort of) the pilot here:  https://archive.liveatc.net/kmtn/KMTN1-Guard-Oct-30-2024-1300Z.mp3

KBWI 121.5 feed had better audio than what I got from 200 miles away of the other pilots talking about the Cardinal.  https://archive.liveatc.net/kbwi/KBWI1-Guard-Oct-30-2024-1300Z.mp3
