UPS heavy coming into Buffalo early this morning had to go around due to a wind sheer. The sound in the cockpit reminds me of my car when you leave the keys in and open the door :-).....could that be the alarm?

i'm not sure tht was wind shear alert, wind shear alert that i know of is 'Wind Shear' in urgent voice from the airplane

I don't think Dan is referring to the windshear GPWS annunciation, but rather the aural alert from the Low-Level Wind Shear Alert System (LLWAS) installed in the tower.
Best,

Its the very first thing you here when the pilot keys his mic.

Good clip, thank you for taking the time to post - much appreciated!

When he first keys his mic reporting the go-around, that's most likely their windshear warning going off. I'm not sure what type of aircraft it is though, or its annunciation of the windshear.
I have attached the actual audio clip that my aircraft uses on a windshear warning. Along with the audio warning, windshear escape guidance is automatically brought up on my PFD/Attitude indicator along with big red letters WINDSHEAR
Upon further review, the warning bell that you hear going off sounds like the GPWS in an airbus. So, I'll guess that this was an airbus.

Sheesh... so easy a monkey could do it!

It was a Airbus A300F4-600 according to Flight Aware. One of the few heavys that come into KBUF on a daily basis.

No the alarm was from him opening the door when the plane was still moving. lol

Left the keys in the ignition eh...... Or did he leave the lights on?
