Air Canada 754, the redeye SFO - YYZ, was waiting to depart when they had an interesting visitor this evening...

The pilot tried to get excited over this, the controller sounded like he really couldn't care less.  :-)

The controllers know the local wildlife (they have had enough eye-witness reports, know the cadaver-count statistics, etc.) Pilots are used to the wildlife around their hometown, the pests at a foreign airport could be their first sighting of an exotic animal.

There's plenty of wildlife at Pearson; rabbits, foxes living between 6L/R, etc.

I bet if that Air Canada pilot put a big Owl right in front of the tower windows when the controller wasn't looking he might be a bit more interested.  :-D
