Vista Jet Tire Failure at TEB upon landing
« on: February 25, 2025, 03:59:51 UTC »
A Vista Jet Global landed at Teterboro after a flight from Spain, and all 4 tires were deflated upon touchdown.  Tower asked if they were OK and the crew responded they had rapid deceleration prior to brake application.  The conversation starts about a minute into the 30-minute tower clip.  Tower stated that they heard a loud "bang" and saw smoke coming from the aircraft.  Crew was eventually switched to 125.1 (Teterboro Tower backup frequency) where the OPS vehicles communicated while inspecting the aircraft.  They determined that all 4 main tires were deflated.  4 SOB, no injuries.  Runway 19 was closed for quite a while.

Ops Freq starting at around 5 minutes into recording

If someone can edit this, it would be awesome.  Working on how to do this myself, but in the meantime, before link expires - feel free if you are able.  Thanks.

Audacity is a great tool you can use to edit audio clips.  If you post an Mp3 file, it will not expire.
