Virgin Atlantic Airbus flight VS-25 from London Heathrow to New York JFK with 252 passengers and 15 crew was enroute about 170nm north northwest of Shannon (Ireland) when the crew declared PAN PAN PAN reporting a medical issue with one of the pilots following a laser strike just after the takeoff from Heathrow.
The attached audio file contains a number of communications between the aircraft and Shannon controllers. None from the UK of course due to our archaic law.
