Video: Boeing 737 Has Gear Problems

(1/2) > >>

Cessna172:
Interesting video I found on Video Google. Content includes: 1) 737 on approach (showing 1 of the 2 main gear has remained stowed), 2) a failed landing attempt (at the end of this segment, I believe the pilot pulls up to go around, or maybe he was just ballooning; in any case, he didn't have much runway left in front of him), 3)another pass and a touchdown and 4) emergency crews after the A/C has come to a stop on the runway. Here's the link:

Biff:
He was bouncing on the good gear trying to unstick the stuck gear.   I believe this incident was because a ramp guy left the chocks wrapped around the gear.

Cessna172:
Really? Wow. I've never heard anything like that before. Obviosly, it didn't work.  :D I'm glad that they got down safely, though.

Fra:
I've seen the documentary on NGC about this flight. The captain was honored I think for his actions.

Cessna172:
I love the National Geo. Chanel! It sounds kind of dorky, but they really have some interesting shows on every once in a while. I've never seen this case on any show on NGC before, though. Fra, what was is called (I mean the show)??

Thanks!
