Jetlink 3046 Bird Strike - PHL - 12/06/09

Expressjet 3046 lost their #2 engine due to bird strike on final approach to PHL 27R Sunday evening, 12/06/09.

Very Nice catch...those dang birds! I'm in Airfield Management and you'll notice a lot more birds on the runways and taxiways this time of year because the birds like the warm pavement.
