Title: USCG Rescue KSFO
Post by: DingerX on July 19, 2011, 03:45:38 PM
Last night a windsurfer went on the SF Bay and didn't come back. 10 hours of SAR by Coast Guard 6502 made SFO Tower's work rather interesting at times. Ca. 0545 PDT, (=1245Z) 6502 went up again, found her, pulled her aboard, and returned to the CG station by SFO around 0615.

cool. At about 1 minute in you can hear KSFO tower handing off a departure and having another line up.
I thought it was a rather interesting event to have in controlled airspace. If I were seriously nerdy, I'd go back and compile a sampling from the previous 10 hours.

I know this is an old post but does anyone happen to have the unedited audio of this saved somewhere?
