There is a KJFK turtle recording from 2006 "JFK Turtle" and one from a some other location from 2009 "Turtle Strike" in the audio archives.

When I was paying my dues at an entry level machinist job some 25 years ago I had a co worker that had an interesting work history. His previous job was at a large poultry company as a chicken catcher. ( apparently one of the few things they have not been able to automate)  I remember this because the boss was constantly threatening to send him back there.

I think car 97 might have him beat with turtle catcher on his resume.

This what the pilots might say:     "  v1,rotate, wow turtles,v2, mayday, mayday, mayday, we have a turtle on the wing,    BOOM

I would rather a bird go into the engine than a turtle
