Title: Turkish slides off at jfk

A Turkish Airlines flight skidded off a runway at John F. Kennedy International Airport Sunday night, none of the 198 passengers were injured.

Very interesting- Had do go back and listen a few times to see what the last transmission was and stuff but calm and it seems to have worked out better than expected.

JFK TOwer did a good job, started having people go for the Missed Approach the second he saw the problem.. and then started clearing the radio traffic  to just Turkish Air....  Smart, fast, and reliable...

Were they speaking any english at all, I sure couldn't understand anything they said.  I really feel sorry for those ATC's at JFK trying to interpret those jockeys.

i was listening live when it happened...i had no idea that anything even happened until the kennedy tower controller actually said an aircraft when off the runway. good job to that controller at jfk! :D
