Tough Final Approach at LAX
« on: January 25, 2010, 11:35:59 PM »
It wasn't easy landing at LAX last Thursday night.  Gusty winds, wind shear at 300 ft, and an "unauthorized laser illumination event."

Sorry, my distance from LAX (25 miles) gives me pretty poor reception of ground traffic, thus limiting the quality of any LAX tower feed.  A quality tower feed really needs to be pretty close.  Also, it would be very difficult to dedicate my radio (and my listening) to a single frequency.  Too much stuff out there to listen to.  Maybe if there is a future hardware purchase???   :-D

I hear you, too much interesting things. I always wanted a single frequency for JFK, where I like listening to one controller more than the other.
