Phoenix Police helicopter "Firebird 7" hard landing

Audio on KPHX South Tower 120.90 of a Phoenix Police air-unit making an emergency landing. The unit was supporting local law enforcement efforts to secure the area prior to US Vice President Joe Biden's arrival which landed without incident.

Update: Phoenix PD brought in a second bird with a mechanic onboard who flew the malfunctioning helicopter back to KDVT.

A spokesperson said that there was a malfunctioning indicator light showing an engine problem so the crew made a precautionary landing. Besides being a bit shook up they were not injured in the incident.
