Title: SWA3358 - Emergency landing cabin smoke KELP 2016-01-17
Post by: ashawley on January 19, 2016, 03:45:56 AM
Southwest 3358 (SWA3358) experienced smoke in the cabin and made an emergency landing in El Paso (KELP) at 18:30Z (11:30 local) after departing from William Hobby Airport (KHOU) at 16:15Z (10:15 local) in Houston on a flight originally destined for Orange County (KSNA).

There is very sparse coverage of the Houston Center (ZHU) and Albuquerque Center (ZAB) ARTCC feeds on LiveATC, so I only was able to include the communication during the ordinary takeoff from KHOU and the diverted landing at KELP.  The only feed at KELP is for the approach frequency, so the tower and ground transmissions at KELP are missing as well.  Running time 3:25 minutes.
