Title: Speedbird tries an April Fools
Post by: athaker on April 03, 2007, 04:00:02 PM
Very long night at JFK.  Multiple aircraft in the full clip, KJFK Ground April 2nd 0230Z, have asked their place in line, and the longest I heard was 55 for departure.  A poor Speedbird is stuck in the 40's, so tries his luck.  Take a listen.

Was the controller pulling the April fools joke or the pilot or both? 47th for departure! Sounds alot like Buffalo!

haha it's Kennedy: the controller was absolutely serious...an aircraft that called a few minutes ahead was told he was somewhere between 50th and 55th!

Is is just me, or did the BA pilot not sound British?

My favourite part.... "and you're looking at your map and it makes no sense but it'll make more sense when I tell you you're 47th for departure"  geeeeez!!!  lol
