The plane then seemingly vanished. Witnesses say they heard sirens a short time later, then witnessed fire trucks rushing by the school. The plane made an emergency landing on Loxahatchee Road southwest of West Boca High and in what most people would refer to as the Everglades. Multiple Palm Beach County Fire Rescue units responded to the scene and quickly determined that medical assistance was not needed. The official statement from Palm Beach County Fire Rescue: “A small aircraft experienced a mechanical issue and had to make an emergency landing. Upon arrival PBCFR and PBSO crews made contact with the pilot. No injuries were reported at the scene, and the aircraft remained intact.”
