A small airplane made an emergency landing Monday afternoon on a bike path and greenspace area in North Lauderdale, authorities said.
The incident, which occurred around 4:40 p.m. in the 8100 block of Southgate Boulevard, prompted a response from local deputies and fire rescue teams.
No injuries were reported among the two people aboard the aircraft.
Emergency response to the incident
According to the Broward Sheriff's Office, deputies in North Lauderdale, along with North Lauderdale Fire Rescue, responded to the scene of the landing.
"No injuries were reported," the office said and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) was notified of the emergency landing.
