Footage taken over the scene showed the plane in a wooded area northwest of Wedgefield with a bent wing and first responders surrounding the scene.

FAA officials later told News 6 that the plane had crash-landed in the field around 3 p.m. on Wednesday, sparking an investigation into what exactly happened.
