Nice weather in the DC area today but some early morning (1100-1200Z) low cloud cover caused visibility issues for some regional jets landing on DCA Rwy15 (others landed ok and Rwy19 also active). EDV5006 diverted to IAD after 1st attempt. JIA5328 landed on 2nd attempt. JIA5160 missed twice, some departures were held for 10-15 mins to allow them to land in opposite direction on Rwy 1 rather than diverting to IAD. Enjoy the banter/coordination.
JIA5451 - "Anyway we can go out any sooner?"
Tower - "Nope. We don't want to be on the news. So just stay on the ground"
