COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KXRM) — A small plane has crash-landed and is leaking fluids on Powers Boulevard in Colorado Springs Wednesday morning, Oct. 1, closing several lanes on the road.
Just after 4 a.m., Oct. 1, the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) reported that they first received calls about a small airplane that had crashed and was leaking fluid near the intersection of North Powers Boulevard and Barned Road.

According to the Colorado Springs Fire Department (CSFD) X page, three people were on board the plane during the crash, but all walked away with no injuries.

CSFD firefighters and CSPD are working on the scene to stop the leak from the plane, with crews working to clean up the wreckage. Both CSPD and CSFD say that traffic in the area will be affected with lane closures for cleanup during morning rush hour, and to avoid the area if possible. Both departments urge drivers to be cautious and plan for lower speeds and different routes.
