If file 2 and 3 are too long and boring for you, you can follow DAL086 on passur.
Just plug in the appropriate times and it should sync up. Tried to keep space editing minimal
here. You can watch the normal arrival pattern being broken up and DAL086 go barreling through
as a priority landing.

I hope Delta send this guy the bill for the troubles he caused.  Fuel, crew costs, etc etc etc

I'm not sure how this plane is routed out of Tel Aviv, but it will be returning to the US very very late. Depending on the routing, sometimes that can take days to recover.

Hey all, I heard this one live last night as we were coasting out. Delta declared an emergency and diverted to BOS. They were past Nantucket and turned around for BOS. They also dumped a bunch of fuel. I was listening on the other radio and heard them all the way to Tower. At was a little scarey at first and then it sounded as though they had it under control.
Never can be good when the controller asks if you would like to declare an emergency and you say yes.
Good job by all, glad it all worked out!

Great job by everyone.... You could tell Delta's crew had it's hands full in the cockpit, preparing rapidly for approach and landing of their heavy bird.  Definitely a lot of wasted time and fuel...not to mention the hot brakes and possible tire damage from what I'd imagine was not your normal rollout.

P.S. - That's Boston John working local, no?

Sure sounded like him.  Where was Boston Gregg when you need him?  I'm told that he is the next up and coming superstar

My sources tell me that Boston Gregg was standing behind Boston John monitoring as an extra set of eyes.  They actually called him up from the break room just to do that.  I am surprised they let them both work at the same time, they should split them up so at least one is working at all times.

Is there a precedent for an airline charging a passenger for a medical emergency?

They did land heavy, anyone know how much fuel DID get dumped, finely particleized and eventually settle between nantucket and boston?
