Are you talking about the VFR pilot in IMC conditions where he freaks out and says hes upside down and all sorts of stuff?

Jason, was that the correct file you were thinking of? It sounds like a recorded phone call regarding weather information.

Sorry Jason, FRyy is correct - That is the Bridgeport, Conn FSS answering a phone call-in, followed by someone filing a flight plan out of Danbury.
p.s. - did my first solo flight out of BDR. Passed with flying colors! - LOL).

Yea we listened to this clip in one of my avaition safety classes and could hardly hear it because everyone was jsut laughing so hard.  Even though my teacher talked about this clip with a very serious face he couldnt help but smirk too. Honestly if  I was in his situation and had no instrument training I would prabably do the samething.

Woops, I uploaded the wrong FSS.mp3.  I've updated my post to reflect the correct file.  Sorry about that.

thank you Jane and all others who replied. when I first played this, it was hard not to laugh, even though it's no laughing matter. I would have an adrenaline rush, just like anyone, but I'm not the screaming type. also interesting to hear a controller giving instructions on spin recovery.
