RC-3 lands in a field
« on: April 23, 2009, 01:52:16 PM »
So i'm watching the local Buffalo news last night and I see a live report of a airplane that had to land in a farmers field about a mile from my house.  Turns out he blew his alternator belt and decided to bring it down in a field. So I buzzed over and took a few pictures of it from the road then came home and found some audio in the archives of the incident, edited it and posted it here. I was also able to find a picture on Airliners.net of this rather cool looking aircraft---->

In the audio clip you can here another aircraft being vectored over to the area that  Buffalo lost contact on radar, didnt take him very long to find him. About 15 minutes after I shot the pic he was able to fire it up and take off and continue on his way to Lakeland Florida for an airshow.

He broke his alternator belt and landed in a field?  Seems a bit dramatic to me
