On May 5, UAL381, a Boeing 737-900 arriving from KIAD, was on short final when the crew decided to go around because of a flaps issue. They asked ATC for delaying vectors while they troubleshooted the problem. The flaps were stuck in the Flaps 5 position. They ultimately declared an emergency, asked for a long final on runway 34L and landed safely a short time later. They stopped on the runway and asked for the emergency crews to check out their brakes. After the all-clear, they taxied to the gate.
