I think this pilot might be a bit embarrassed.  He must have pushed the wrong button, making his full pre flight in cabin announcement over the LAX Ground frequency. I felt sorry for the nice ATC Lady and had to laugh when she exclaimed "Oh my g-d."

None that I heard. I was waiting for someone to interrupt him.

Interrupting him makes only sense if you want to talk to someone else.
But it's hard to understand because the signals mix.

The guy transmitting can't hear other transmissions, so there is no way to tell him that he's making a fool of himself.

I've always wondered why the radios don't have a "transmit LED/light".
Would light everytime you are transmitting on VHF/HF.
(would not illuminate when talking to passengers)

Hello,

I don't know what aircraft this was but airplanes do have a TRANSMIT (TX) RECEIVE (RX) light - at least the aircraft I fly does.

When we press the PTT, the letters TX appear on all our screens along with the frequency we're transmitting on. When someone else speaks on the radio, the words RX appear.

I have come to the habit of checking that the words TX disappear every time I let go the PTT button to make sure I'm not transmitting anymore and avoiding unwanted open mic.

All I know is it was an American Airlines Flight so I'd guess it had the light but the pilot didn't check it.

I'm talking something like a red LED on the yoke, rather prominent.
Probably not practical as it would need to be dimmable as well i suppose.

Some indication on some screen isn't quite the same.
