Oshkosh VFR arrivals during EAA Convention
« on: June 07, 2005, 12:52:22 AM »
I grabbbed these during EAA Airventure in 2003. For those not familiar, the EAA convention makes Oshkosh (KOSH) the busiest airport in the world for one week each summer. VFR pilots are not allowed to talk on frequency, they simply follow an established arrival procedure and respond to tower instructions by rocking their wings. The controllers work 15 minute shifts.  Its pretty wild to watch in person., sometimes landing two to four aircraft on the same runway at once.  I've seen more than a few "incidents".

Here we have the VFR arrivals on runway 36. I will post more later.
