Hehe he didn't seem too excited about the B737 taxiing ahead of them when the 737 pushed after they did.

Ah yes the excitement of flying into and out of JFK at peak times.

Comair always seems to be the most negative airline, generally speaking.

I think the "awww man" may have been another pilot mocking the Comair crew...not sure...

That was my take on it too; sounded like a different voice and it didn't have that "all ticked off at JFK traffic" tone to it.

Yeah, "awww man..." and "like everybody else..." had the 400 Hz hum in the background, so that surely makes it another aircraft, not a controller...

As a Center controller I'd just like to say a big thank you to that JFK ground controller.  Comair departs 2 minutes later and the B737 gets to go faster than a POS regional jet.  We have the same setup every day coming out of BOS for DCA and I wish that the BOS ground controller would sneak the B737 past the RJ just once.

That's some interesting advice.  The majority of the time we're hitting the DSP times YOUR facility is giving us!  But I'll take your advice to heart nonetheless; even further, if I got a LJ60 taxiing out, I'll stop the traffic at the runway and move him right up the line to #1.  Fastest traffic first, just like the .65 says??

Curious as to where you've worked ground control before...
