No, you first, my dear Gaston!

A conversation about the proper etiquette in the DC flyway. :) Not exactly "After you, Alphonse", "No, you first, my dear Gaston!" Silence and other traffic truncated.

So... who was right in here?

Could you please let us know what area of Potomac we're going through to analyze this? I'd love to study the zone they're flying in.

They both said they were at 1700, which technically makes them both "wrong", but whomever was going east-bound was slightly wronger. Here's a link that shows the flyway. Just north of Freeway airport (W00).

Hmmm thanks for that link!! :-)

N20300 is tracked by FlightAware so if you knew the date this was, we could know who was going each way.

Anyway, I guess the Cardinal was going west and the Mooney was going east, but as you said, being at 1700', no one was flying correctly

It was last Sunday, after 2 p.m. I was looking for my trip, but it wasn't recorded.

I don't think all VFR flights in the SFRA are captured by FlightAware.
